They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him, and then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on his head. They put a staff in his right hand. Then they knelt in front of him and mocked him. "Hail, king of the Jews!" they said. They spit on him, and took the staff and struck him on the head again and again. After they had mocked him, they took off the robe and put his own clothes on him. Then they led him away to crucify him.

Jesus is the reason for the Easter season. Before he died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead he was horribly beaten and made fun of. When we go through hard times we need to keep in perspective what Jesus went through for us. Thank you Jesus for dying on the cross for me.

LORD, let me speak to You with my spirit not just with my fleshly mind. Help me to have a true relationship with Jesus Christ. Why say I am a Christian, yet go and do worldly things, when You are there wanting to be in my heart? Then I turn around when my time is up on earth asking to be in Your home. That is not right! I (as a regular person living on earth) would not let someone in my home if I did not know them and have some relationship with them. Neither would You God...So LORD please help me to stay on the right path with You. We do not know when our time on earth is going to expire, we need to be ready at every breath given moment as if there is no tomorrow. We (as Christians) need to memorize scripture to use AGAINST the devil because he is real and so are the devils demons. Help me to do all of these things LORD. Amen
