A daily bible verse for children with a Christian devotional.
Today's Bible Verse for Children
If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey the voice of his father or the voice of his mother, and, though they discipline him, will not listen to them, then his father and his mother shall take hold of him and bring him out to the elders of his city at the gate of the place where he lives, and they shall say to the elders of his city, ‘This our son is stubborn and rebellious; he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton and a drunkard.’ Then all the men of the city shall stone him to death with stones. So you shall purge the evil from your midst, and all Israel shall hear, and fear.
Today's Devotional for Children
Whoever spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him. Proverbs 13:24
Obedience to God and to our parents can either bring blessings on our life or curses. The Holy Bible is very clear on this and the choice is clearly ours.
Heavenly Father bless me to be a good, loving and obedient child of God. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
Verse Consider now: Who, being innocent, has ever perished?
Where were the upright ever destroyed?
As I have observed, those who plow evil
and those who sow trouble reap it.
Devotional Heavenly Father, let my love be without hypocrisy. I abhor what is evil. I will cling to what is good. Help me to be kindly affectionate to others with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to others, not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, but serving You O Lord, rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; distributing to the needs of the saints, and giving hospitality. Verse He loads the clouds with moisture; He scatters his lightning through them. At His direction they swirl around over the face of the whole earth to do whatever He commands them.
Devotional God created the world and is in complete control of it. He sends the rain to water His earth to show His love. He brings good things to those who trust in Him. God hears every prayer you speak and desires to show you his Love.
Verse The wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox, and dust will be the serpent's food. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, says the LORD.
Devotional The scenario described in this verse is of the wonderful vision when God's kingdom will have come and Jesus is the King all over the Earth. What a world that will be! No more cruelty. No more meanness. No more broken hearts. No more disappointment. No more fear.
Verse Yet the righteous will hold to his way, and he who has clean hands will be stronger and stronger.
Devotional When Job was afflicted with horrible things in his life he was without an earthly friend. Job had "clean hands" meaning he lived a pure and holy life, he was innocent. Job seemed to be forsaken by God, yet he had total faith God would restore him. Job is a great example of how we should handle difficulties in our lives. Hold firm in your trust in God and He will come through. No matter how bad things get or how much we lose or get hurt God has the power to completely restore us.
Verse God thunders marvelously with His voice; He does great things which we cannot comprehend.
Devotional You are amazing LORD, working miracles in my life and all around the world. I pray for all the missing children, that they will find their way home. I pray that those children have peace and are not frightened, surround them with Your angels. Protect them! In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
Verse He also opens their ear to instruction, and commands that they turn from iniquity. If they obey and serve Him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
Devotional Jesus I want You to open my ears to instruction please, I want to obey and serve You too. I pray that all the sinners will have their eyes and ears opened as well. Protect my family LORD and surround us with Your angels. Amen.
