A daily bible verse for children with a Christian devotional.
Today's Bible Verse for Children
Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this, to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
Today's Devotional for Children
Consider this, what if each one of us practiced kindness, love and acceptance of every person who is around us wherever we are and whomever we are with? Let's try to be our own little nation of love, hope and acceptance. Let's start a trickle affect of change. Let's be our own nation that our Heavenly Father would be incredibly proud of!
Heavenly Father give me a pure heart full of love for others regardless of what they look like or how they act or what they do. Show me their hurts and how with Your help I can help them heal. In Jesus precious name I pray, Amen.
Please help us change the lives of these children by helping to sponsor them. No donation is too small.
Verse But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
Devotional God knows every thought we think before we think it, He knows every word we speak before we speak it. God is always with us, there is nothing we can hide from God because He created us and He knows every single thing about us.
Verse When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth.I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into Godís love and keep you strong.
Devotional This is our prayer at Children's Bible Verse for all of you. We see ALL of you as our children and want so much good for you that comes only from our trust and faith in Jesus Christ. May He guide and give you the desires of your heart, protection, strength, hope and love to stand through any storm that the world may place in your path! In Jesus precious name, Amen.
Verse Offer prayers and petitions in the Spirit all the time. Stay alert by hanging in there and praying for all believers.
Devotional Some ways of God are hard to understand. It does not make sense to normal people that we should pray for others when we are under attack or feeling depressed. But Jesus says praying for other believers is exactly what we should do when that happens. Not only will it bring great power to those who you are praying for but it will also "strengthen you with great power".
Verse "In your anger do not sin": Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.
Devotional Jesus says we should be gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and have great kindness. Anger is in the heart of the foolish... Father in heaven, please help me to forgive people that have done wrong towards me. Instead give me a loving heart. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
Verse Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
Devotional Is there a person in your life that just drives you crazy sometimes? Well, God says that we should be patient and gentle with them. That does not mean to let them walk on you, but we need to treat each other with love.
Verse Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.
Devotional Since we were born into God's family as His legitimate children when we repented and placed our faith in Jesus Christ as our Savior, we therefore should be an imitation of God (John 1:12-13).
As Christians we imitate God by loving others (1 John 3:16).
Verse In your anger do not sin: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a foothold to the devil.
Devotional Anger itself is not necessarily sinful. However, it can breed sinful thoughts and actions. Bitterness and resentment are like poison that eat away at us unless we forgive like Christ forgave us. His Holy Spirit will give us peace and rest if you simply ask as the bible says. Do not go to bed angry, give it to God.
Verse Be kind and loving to each other. Forgive each other the same as God forgave you in Christ.
Devotional Jesus tells us more than once in the bible to forgive others. Forgiving is loving. Is there someone that has been mean to you, hurt you, or done something against you that you need to forgive?
Verse For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.
Devotional LORD, help me to not walk in darkness, help me to walk in Your light. Thank You for the food and clothes You have provided for me, and for everything else You have provided for my family and me as well. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
