Verse Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.
Devotional Today's Bible verse is talking about giving our worries to God. God cares about us because He loves us and He created us. Everyday we should pray and ask God to take away all our worries and then thank Him for loving us.
Verse Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. NIV
Devotional God says that when people say bad things about us that are not true, that we should pray for them and ask Him to bless them and God will bless us for doing the good and right thing.
Jesus help me to pray daily for the people who say bad things about me and please bless them abundantly. In your precious name I pray, Amen.
Verse Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart. NIV
Devotional God wants us to love each other with no conditions. He wants us to have no part of people who teach hatred and dislike of others because they may be different. Kids that bully, hurt and lie about others are being led by satan, not by Jesus. Jesus want us to be like him and when we treat others with love they can see Jesus in us.
Jesus, help me to be just like you! Amen
Verse Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.
Devotional When nothing is going right is the most important time to trust in God. He cares for you and he knows what you need. He promises to provide. We just need to trust and give our anxieties to him. God thank you for caring about me. In the name of Jesus we praise you! Amen.
Verse In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, "God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble."
Devotional Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
Today's Prayer for Children
Father in heaven, teach us gently how to be humble toward each other.
Verse As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance.
Devotional When we let Jesus in our hearts we are made new. We are not our old selves and we are given real power to overcome. If we are to be good children of God then we must control our desires, we can only do that with the power of Jesus in our hearts. Do you have the power of Jesus in your heart?
Verse Do not let your adornment be merely outward - arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel - rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God..
Devotional Father help me to refrain my tongue from evil, and my lips from speaking deceit. Let me turn away from evil and do good, let me seek peace and pursue it. For Your eyes O Lord are on the righteous and Your ears are open to their prayers, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. In Jesus precious name I pray, Amen.
Verse Your heart should be holy and set apart for the Lord God. Always be ready to tell everyone who asks you why you believe as you do. Be gentle as you speak and show respect.
Devotional Peter tells us to always be ready to explain why we believe in Jesus. People can argue about theology and/or religion but they can not refute your experiences with God. A simple way to be a witness for God is to simply tell your story to somebody.
Verse Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of Godís grace in its various forms.
Devotional Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Serving others glorifies God through Jesus.
How can you use what God has blessed you with to serve others today?
Verse Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in Godís sight.
Devotional We should take care of ourselves to make sure we have good hygiene, but outward looks will fade. Unfading beauty comes from the inside. When we know that The Master Creator made us, we can go into any situation with confidence knowing God wants us the way He made us and that he has a plan for your life.
